URANIUM AESTHETIC at Factory 49 Marrickville November 2019
Pushing the limits of materiality and embracing natural variation; Uranium Aesthetic sought to express colour and texture in its most dynamic and unstable form. My approach to this body of work was to dissipate form , line and control over composition allowing colour and texture to engage with each other in an organic way. I avoided making direct compositional decisions, instead creating an environment of chemical reactions so that the work may form itself.
